A 63-year-old Rome man was jailed Tuesday on charges of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, and use of a computer to entice a child.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Donnie Wayne Phelps met someone he believed to be under 16 online, engaged in a graphic conversation, and asked to meet the child for sex acts.
He then traveled to an undisclosed location in Floyd County to meet the child and was arrested.
