
Jeffery Baxter Hines, age 64, was arrested last Friday, October 10, 2025, and charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass. The incident occurred at the GBNT Food Mart, located at 13476 Highway 27, around 2:09 PM.
According to the arrest report, dispatch received a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of the GBNT Food Mart. A deputy arrived on the scene at approximately 2:12 PM and spoke with a store clerk.
The clerk informed the responding deputy that Jeffery Hines was on the property and had been involved in a verbal altercation with another male. Crucially, the clerk stated that Mr. Hines had been previously trespassed from the GBNT Food Mart.
A confirmation check with Chattooga E911 verified that Mr. Hines had indeed been issued a criminal trespass warning for the GBNT Food Mart on June 25, 2025, by a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Deputies, made contact with Mr. Hines. He was taken into custody with minimal resistance and subsequently transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
