A fifty-year-old man was charged with DUI after he was accused of pointing a gun at another driver on Highway 27 near Trade Day.  According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened last Tuesday shortly before 9 AM.

Jason Neal Johnson told a deputy that he pointed a gun at a woman because she “was following too closely”.  While speaking with the deputy, Johnson showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies retrieved the gun from the vehicle and placed it into evidence and charged Johnson will DUI for alcohol, simple assault and pointing a gun or pistol at another.
