On Sunday, Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call about an accident at the intersection of Stoleman Road and U.S. Highway 27 in Trion.  When deputies arrived on the scene, they saw the driver standing outside his vehicle with the driver’s side door open.  According to the report from the sheriff’s office, the man was “swaying” while attempting to stand up.  Sixty-year-old Jeffery Allan Deboard told a deputy that he had eight beers to drink before the accident.  Deboard was arrested on DUI charges and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
