The July 4th holiday saw one local man arrested for a DUI after it was reported he was harassing the residents of the High Rise.
Arriving at the High Rise on Marvin Avenue early on the morning of the 4th, Officers encountered Jimmy Peoples who was reportedly harassing the residents. Officers observed that Peoples was unable to stand on his own and had slurred speech. Consenting to an Alco-Sensor test, Peoples blew a 0.271, well over the legal limit. Officers also found Bud Light bottles on his person.
Peoples was arrested for a DUI and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
