When a Chattooga County woman tried to call E-911 when her son was reportedly causing a disturbance, he allegedly knocked the cell phone out of her hand and across the driveway. Christopher Morgan ended up being arrested that night charged with obstruction or hindering a person making an emergency call and public drunkeness.

According to the report, Morgan was at the home of his mother, intoxicated and began to scream profanity and took off his jacket and "got in her face."  When she tried to call 911, he knocked the phone from her hand. She then called 911 from another phone.  

Morgan admitted to officers he knocked the phone from his mother's hand. He was also staggering and had slurred speech while talking to officers. When being searched a loaded handgun was found inside his jacket pocket. The gun was cleared and left with Morgan's girlfriend, according to the report.
