More information has become available about a man police say was caught photo copying cash in a Rome motel room, reports state.

According to a Rome police report:

Police were called to the Relax Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard Sunday morning, Feb. 27, when a woman reported that a tenant was making meth in his motel room.

When police arrived at the motel they found Christopher Shane Vasser, 40, of 46 Pierce Hill Road, in the room with a Cannon color copier, super glue, a can of propane, several batteries and a bottle of acetone.

Police say Vasser admitted to copying a $100 bill and a $20 bill. He said he and his friends were just “messing around.”

Vasser is charged with felony first degree forgery. He remained in jail Monday morning.
