A man from Hephzibah, Georgia was arrested in Floyd County this week for shoplifting at the East Rome Walmart and was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond on those charges, plus outstanding warrants in several counties, including Chattooga County.
Floyd County police say that twenty-nine-year-old Tyron Edell King placed external hard drives, ink cartridges and other miscellaneous electronics items into the box for a car seat. He then purchased the car seat with the other items hidden inside. Less than two hours later, King did the exact same thing again. The first time, the merchandise was valued at $4,800.46. The value of the merchandise during the second theft was listed at $6,181.09.
King was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond. In addition to the charges in Floyd and Chattooga Counties, King faces charges in Walker County, Richmond County, Douglas County and Wayne County.
