A LaFayette man was arrested after he allegedly broke into three storage units belonging to a man he had reportedly burglarized in the past.

According to LaFayette police reports:

On Sunday, Nov. 30, sometime between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., someone cut the locks on three storage units at a facility on South Main Street.

The complainant was unsure of everything that was missing, but believed some hand tools and a set of Creyers chrome rims were missing. The missing locks were not found at the scene, the complainant said.

The complainant said he believed 18-year-old Lucas Hunter Vest committed the burglary due to a previous case in which Vest allegedly burglarized the complainant’s residence in the past.

Video footage was made available at the facility.

Vest was arrested and charged with one count of burglary.
