A man from Cherokee County, Georgia is accused of traveling to Floyd County to meet someone he thought was a minor for sex acts.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 47-year old Bernard Thompson is charged with child molestation.
Floyd County Police also charged Thompson with obscene internet contact with a child and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
