A domestic dispute ends in an arrest for disorderly conduct, but not before a false claim of being shot in the head was made.

According to Summerville Police Reports, on September 9th Officers were dispatched to a Woodcrest Drive residence in regard to a domestic dispute. Upon arriving Officers met with Jonathan David Hughes, who stated that he had been shot in his head. A closer inspection revealed no wounds but did expose an odor of alcohol on Hughes. Asking Hughes to have a seat on the ground, another Officer went and spoke with Donna Mostiller, Hughes mother and the complainant. Mostiller told Officers that Hughes had been drinking some and did have a former history of mental issues and outbursts. Prior to calling the cops, Mostiller stated that she had asked Hughes for help in locating a drill and he had gotten angry and began yelling at her and her husband.

When Officers went back to Hughes and asked him for his ID, he stated that he did not have it. When asking for his date of birth and name, Hughes extended his middle finger towards Officers and asked, “how about that”, while laughing. At this point Officers placed Hughes under arrest for Disorderly Conduct under the city code section. Hughes was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
