
A thirty-two-year-old LaFayette man was arrested by LaFayette Police after fleeing from a Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Agent who had attempted to pull him over.
According to WQCH in LaFayette, the drug task force agent knew that Justin Lamar Thomas of a Lee School Road, LaFayette address was a wanted felon and attempted to stop him, but Thomas fled from the scene.
He was stopped by LaFayette Police who asked Thomas how much he’d had to drink, the report states Thomas said, “a lot”.
Open containers of alcohol were found in the pickup Thomas was driving. Field sobriety tests was not attempted, as he had previously tried to escape from officers.
Thomas was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude and he was served a warrant for a felony probation violation at the Walker County Jail.
