A thirty-one-year-old Summerville man was arrested on Wednesday of this week for DUI after a Summerville Police officer found him passed out in a car.  The man admitted to the officer that he had been driving before being discovered by police.

According to reports from the Summerville Police Department, the man was found passed out inside his vehicle parked in the parking lot of the First Avenue Apartments.  When the officer woke the man up, he had slurred speech and admitted he had driven the vehicle while intoxicated.

Inside the vehicle, police say they found open bottles of “Fireball” whiskey.

Police arrested Norbuto Hernandez and charged him with DUI and open container of alcohol.
