Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies have reportedly taken out a warrant on a Summerville man for allegedly shoplifting at Walmart last week.
According to the report, Walmart 's Loss Prevention Officer said Johnny Hines shoplifted from the store and fled towards Highway 27 on a bicycle. Officers found Hines on his bicycle and asked him to stop, but Hines reportedly fled into the woods. A search ensued but Hines was not located, according to the report.
Hines is alleged to have taken a baby monitor valued at $140. Surveillance camera reportedly recorded Hines stuffing the monitor down the front of his pants and exiting the store. The report states that Hines has been banned from Walmart due to several shoplifting incidents and Hines reportedly signed an agreement with Walmart to that effect. The report states that a warrant was taken out on Hines in regard to the incident.
