A Dogwood Drive, Trion man reported the theft of four firearms from his house over the past weekend.

According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the complainant said that the guns were taken the same day he reported them missing.

The complainant identified a family member as the one he suspected committed the theft.  The family member had helped the man move into the residence recently.

The responding deputy noticed minor damage to a door that suggested a forced entry.

The case is still under investigation.
