Over the weekend, Summerville Police officers responded to a Ramey Street address after a “hang-up” 911 call.

Emergency dispatchers told police that they had received a call from the residence and the caller hung up the phone.  When dispatchers called back, a woman told them that everything was fine – but the dispatchers sensed that something was wrong.

When police arrived at the residence, they spoke with the woman who had made the call and she admitted to police that forty-two-year-old Robert Rehorn had struck her in the face but that there were no visible marks.

When officers spoke with Rehorn, he admitted to being verbally abusive towards the woman in the presence of two juveniles.  Officers arrested Rehorn on disorderly conduct charges and took him to the Chattooga County Jail.

While at the jail, Rehorn was served a temporary protection order taken out by the woman who had made the 911 call, ordering him to stay away from her when he was released from jail.
