According to Cherokee County Alabama Sheriff Jeff Shaver a Centre man was arrested Tuesday, after he showed up at court intoxicated and armed with a knife.

According to a news release the sheriff said 54 year old Donald Keener entered the courthouse at around 9:00 that morning armed with a large knife and under the influence of alcohol.

He was quickly disarmed and detained by Court Security Officers before being transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
