A man with a house off of Rose Circle called Chattooga County officers on June 9th reporting a burglary. He had returned home only to find that his refrigerator was on his front porch. Once he entered his home, he noticed that his front door dead bolt lock was not secured like he had left it.
He took notice of missing window glass by the back door, a window had been left open, and the screen to the same window had been damaged. Trash bags with his belongings were on the floor, and he noticed two things missing that were valued around $150.
The man told deputies that the home was under foreclosure and still being auctioned for sale by an Atlanta attorney, but he had not been made aware about the sale of his property nor received any paperwork for the transfer of property.
The case is still under investigation.
