Summerville Police received a report from a woman who said that while walking at Dowdy Park on Tuesday of this week, a man threatened to shoot her dog.

The woman said that her dog got “excited” and started barking and jumping and the man said, “Get your (expletive) dog out of this park before I go to my car and get a gun and shoot it.”

The woman called 911, but the man got into a white truck with “extremely dark, tinted windows” and left immediately after the threat.  The woman called 911 back and said she no longer needed an officer.

The next day, the woman phoned the Summerville Police Department and filed a report.
