A Chattooga County man with several outstanding warrants was arrested at B&B Market in Trion after he attempted to steal food items from the store. 

According to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the proprietor of B&B Market called the sheriff’s office after he confronted the man about attempting to steal the items.  The store owner told the deputy that the suspect was stuffing food items in his jacket and when he was confronted by the store owner, the suspect placed the items on the ice cream freezer and left.

But a short time later the suspect returned.  The store owner told the suspect not to come back to the store because he had stolen alcohol from the store before and had attempted to steal food items.  When deputies reviewed the store’s surveillance video footage, they identified the suspect and went to his home.

Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Wooden was arrested and transported to the Chattooga County Jail on the outstanding warrants and shoplifting charges.
