A Summerville man was arrested over the weekend for driving on suspended or revoked license after a Summerville Police Officer notified a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy that the man was headed home after making a purchase at George’s Quik Shop off Highland Avenue.

The police officer knew that the man in question had had multiple arrests for driving with suspended or revoked license and notified the deputy when he saw the vehicle leaving the store.  The deputy stopped the driver on Lake Wanda Reita Road and questioned him.  When questioned, the man said he wasn’t driving – despite the fact the deputy had just pulled up behind the car and the suspect was still sitting in the driver’s seat.

John Anthony was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of driving with suspended or revoked license.
