According to a report released this week by the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department, on Saturday, November 15th, a Chattooga County deputy was dispatched to Northern Heights Circle in reference to a fight.
The officer met with the complainant, who told him that Mr. Kevin Winch had come to her house to sit by their bonfire. When Mr. Winch allegedly began to make sexual advances towards the complainant, her sister and her friend, she asked Mr. Winch to leave. He continued to make advances towards her as she walked him to the road, the complainant said WInch became angry when she denied him again. Mr. Winch is accused of breaking the front windshield of her vehicle in his rage. The damage to the car was valued at nearly $500. The complainant's brother came from the house to subdue Mr. Winch and calm him down. Mr. Winch then returned home.
The officer went to speak with Mr. Winch, who said that nothing had happened and everything was alright. When the officer asked Mr. Winch to step outside, he saw that he appeared unsteady on his feet and nearly fell down. Mr. Winch then admitted to drinking, but followed with another comment that nothing had happened.
Mr. Winch was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and taken to the Chattooga County Jail.
