Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says an investigation is underway after the discovery of a man’s body on Tuesday.
Sheriff Wilson would only confirm to news outlets that the body was discovered in the Flintstone area.
The exact location of the discovery has not been released as of Tuesday afternoon. WZQZ will have more details as they become available.

The discovery was made around 1:00 p.m. in the 800 block of Highway 193 in Flintstone.
Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said a USPS carrier found a man’s body in a ditch.
Sheriff Wilson says it’s too early to speculate on the cause of death when asked if foul play is suspected.
The body has not been identified at this time.
