The Chattooga County Narcotic Unit was called in after a large quantity of pot was found growing in the Owens Dairy Road area in Chattooga County on Tuesday.  Investigators say that the marijuana was discovered by a citizen that was walking in the area looking for deer antlers.

Sheriff John Everett said that it appeared that the marijuana was being cultivated and tilled and moth balls were found scattered around the area where the pot was growing.  The illegal plants were valued at around $1.4 million according to the Sheriff.
