With Memorial Day coming up on Monday there are events planned in Chattooga County to honor veterans and their service to our country. Coming up this afternoon at the Trion Track field there will be a service to honor all veterans living and deceased. That program gets underway at 1 PM. Then on Monday, May 30 there will be a Memorial Day service at Dowdy Park in Summerville at 11 AM. Retired USMC Col. Jim Lenderman will be the speaker at the service.
