The Northwest Georgia Festival of Balloons will get underway May 16th through May 18th in Menlo.

The festival is expected to draw folks from all across the region.  Some of the featured balloons will be the Flying Purple People Eater which will be piolted by John Cavin of Menlo.  Also Steve and Connie Lambert of Anderson, S.C. and Dr. Johnn Goddard of Griffin, Georgia are expected to participatel 

Activities get underway each day of the festival at 9 A.M.  The cost for admission is $5 per car and the proceeds will benefit the Menlo Recreation Department and teh Chattooga County Tourism Board.  Buck & Duke are scheduled to perform on Saturday at 3:30 P.M.
