Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on Tuesday for the new Menlo Elementary School and members of the student body of the school participated.

The Chattooga County Board of Education along with Menlo Elementary School student leadership team were at the official groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday as construction has started on the new school.

Members of the community as well as the whole student body were present for this special event. The student leaders representing each grade level are: Pre-K.  Olivia Scoggins Kindergarten- Khloe Elliott 1st- Will Lutz 2nd- Ja’Kiah Walker 3rd- Caedmon Harris 4th- Eden Harris 5th- Annie Fountain  6th- Carter Bachelor 7th- Addison Elrod 8th- Kasen Elsberry.
