A sixty-eight-year-old Menlo man was arrested in Floyd County earlier this month after he was found driving on the wrong side of the roadway

Floyd County Police say that Keith Allen Reed was driving his vehicle into oncoming traffic on Turner’s Bend Road in Rome.  When stopped, officers could smell alcohol on Reed’s person and breath.  Keith told police that he had been at a “biker’s bar” and had consumed “12 ounces of Michelob Ultra.”

Police also found an open container of alcohol in Reed’s vehicle.  Reed told officers that the drink was grapefruit juice and vodka.  After consent to search officers found a bottle of vodka that had been mostly consumed.

Reed was charged on multiple charges including DUI and booked into the Floyd County Jail.
