The City of Menlo will be holding three required meetings due to a millage rate increase that is being proposed by the Menlo City Council.  The 2023 millage rate adopted by Menlo will require an increase in property taxes by 40.49%.

Citizens who are concerned about the increase can attend a public hearings on the proposed tax increase on Monday, November 27th at 9 AM and again at 6 PM that evening.  A third meeting will be held on Monday, December 11th at 9 AM.

The City of Menlo says that the tax increase that is being proposed will result in a millage rate of 5.00 mills, an increase of 1.441 mills.  The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $69.17 and for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $75,000 – $43.23.
