While other municipalities in Chattooga County have opted for alternate dates for Halloween activities, the City of Menlo will be having their Halloween Walk on October 31, 2025. The city has announced the event, to be held at Lawrence Park on Halloween night from 5-7 PM, and invites children to come and have some Halloween fun – on Halloween.

Earlier, the City of Summerville announced that their annual Halloween Walk will be held the Saturday before Halloween on October 25th. The Halloween Walk in Summerville will be combined with other fall activities including the Pumpkin Pallooza and “The Night of the Jack-O-Lanterns” at the historic Couey House across from the Depot. The Halloween Walk portion of the day’s activities will take place from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, and will be followed by a costume contest.

The Town of Trion announced that because of high school football on Halloween night, the town will have their Halloween Walk on Saturday, November 1st. “Due to our Trion Bulldogs having a scheduled Home game against Bowdon on October 31st, we’ve decided to move our annual Halloween Walk,” Trion Police Chief David Gilleland stated. “The safety of our residents, especially our children, is our top priority, and we believe this change will allow everyone to enjoy both events without undue risk.” Trion’s Halloween Walk will start at 5 PM and according to the town a “strict curfew” of 9 PM will be enforced.
