The Georgia State Patrol says a Chattooga County teenager was arrested for DUI after an accident at Cloudland on New Year’s Eve. 

State Troopers told WZQZ News that eighteen-year-old Lindsey Cunningham failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Georgia Highway 157 and Georgia Highway 48 and struck a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Highway 48.  When Cunningham’s vehicle struck the other vehicle, the other vehicle rotated clockwise and overturned, before coming to a rest on the south shoulder of Highway 48, facing northwest.

Cunningham’s vehicle then ran off the right shoulder of Highway 48 and came to a rest facing east.

The Georgia State Patrol has charged Cunningham with DUI – under the age of 21.
