On Wednesday, the City of Menlo was able to switch water suppliers from the City of Summerville’s water, to water from the Chattooga County Water District.   Menlo Mayor Allan Keen says that the switch was made after county and city crews, along with private citizens and a crew and equipment from Walker County government laid over 1,400 feet of pipe to connect the City of Menlo with the Chattooga County water system.  Menlo City Clerk Jill Neal told WZQZ News on Thursday morning that the boil water notice is still in affect for Menlo Water customers.  The city says that they have sent a sample of water off for testing and will make an announcement about the boil water notice after results are back from that test.
