Nine charges, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute..have been filed against a man who reportedly drove away from an initial traffic stop early Sunday morning on Warren Road. Kenneth James LaRocco, 43, of Rome sped away from Floyd County Police until his vehicle became stuck, and then fled on foot according to county jail records. He was apprehended and found in possession of 2.8 grams of suspected meth. Additional charges include possession of a gun or knife while trying to commit crimes and fleeing or attempting to elude.

The traffic stop was reportedly made for LaRocco’s failure to maintain his lane. Following up on a traffic stop that led to the felony methamphetamine arrest of LaRocco, Floyd County Police went to his home and made two more arrests. Karen Kimberly Sweeney, 44, of Rome and Aaron James Kolter, 36, of Rome have also been charged with meth possession. Sweeney faces additional charges of Possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects. Sweeney and Kolter were arrested just after 4:30 Sunday morning.
