Around six o’clock yesterday (Wednesday) morning, the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, the Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Hayes State Prison K-9 unit served a warrant on a Gordon Street address in Summerville. The officers found a meth lab, and while working it, they found something they didn’t really expect. There on the premises was some sort of explosive device. At that point, all investigation ceased for the safety of the officers, and the bomb squad was called in. The bomb squad removed the explosive device from the premises and detonated it in a remote location. In conjunction with the warrant, four arrests were made. They included LaDonna Blalock, age 18; Jennifer Blackmon, age 17; William Milam, age 41; and Anthony Green, age 26. All are currently being held at the Chattooga County Jail, and authorities expect to file felony drug charges shortly.
