According to information from the Cherokee County Narcotics Units Agents along with Sheriff’s Deputies seized a meth lab along chemicals involved in the manufacturing process as well as paraphernalia from a residence located at 9200 Alabama Highway 278 near the Georgia line on Sunday.

Investigators were at the residence at around 10am that morning in reference to investigations of an unrelated case out of Polk County Georgia. A search conducted in relation to the Polk County case turned up a meth lab, chemicals, and paraphernalia.

Three individuals were arrested and charged, 48 year old Alisa Hackney was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, 50 year old Phillip Scott Hackney charged with Manufacturing 1st Degree, and Charles Randolph Williams age 48 was charged with Manufacturing 1st Degree. All three remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center.

This is the second lab seized in the county within a week.
