A car reported to Summerville Police Officers as missing, has been returned today.

On December 14th, Ms. Carrie Powell reported her car missing to Summerville Police Officers. Yesterday, one of the men who Ms. Powell stated as having helped move the car came into the Police station about the missing car. Mr. Cedric Price stated that he had moved the car from its 4th Street location to his address on Powell Road. Price stated that he had returned the car after learning that it was reported as stolen. Mr. Price also stated that Ms. Powell had moved the car into her yard to hide it as it had a lien on it.

Ms. Powell continues to state that Mr. Price did not have permission to move or use the car and that she had permission to leave the car at her residence. When asked why Mr. Price didn’t call to have the car towed upon learning it had a lean on it, or letting anyone know he had moved it prior, he had no clear answer.

The vehicle was towed from 4th Street by Garys Towing.
