
Chattooga County Sheriff said there was a good ending to what could have been a very sad story. A toddler wandered off from his mother’s view around noon on Wednesday on Silver Leaf Trail off Silver Hill Road in the Gore Community. The mother was attempting to get a signal on her cell phone when she lost sight of the child. The boy was found about four hours later by a Georgia State Patrol aviation helicopter off the side of a road near Silver Hill Road.
