Walker County resident Obie Ray Dockery, 40, who disappeared Sunday, Jan. 9., has been found alive and well, according to Walker County sheriff Steve Wilson.

Obie was reported missing on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

Several friends of Dockery posted on Facebook that Dockery was missing.

Dockery called Walker County 911 dispatch on Friday, Jan. 14, to tell authorities he was OK and that he had heard his “missing person” report on the news.

Dockery then met authorities at a location in Rossville and said he had left the area on his own free will.
