Monday is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day and a local church will be hosting a service on Monday evening in honor of the holiday.

The New Spirit and Truth of Jesus Christ Church on Scoggins Street in Summerville will hold the service at 6 PM.  Summerville Mayor Harry Harvey will be the keynote speaker.  Also, there will be other speakers from the community.

A reception will be held at 5 PM before the service at 6.  The church is located at 487 Scoggins Street in Summerville.
