Normally, mobile home taxes are due in Georgia on April 1st, but because of a delay in printing the bills, the tax deadline for mobile home taxes in Chattooga County is being extended to April 10, 2023, according to Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton.
Hampton told WZQZ News on Wednesday that tax bills are arriving now and everyone should have their mobile home tax notice within the next few days, if they haven’t received it already.
Hampton said, “If you have a question about values or receive a bill for a home you no longer own, contact the assessors office at 706-857-0737”.
Although the tax commissioner’s name is on the bill, it is the tax assessors office that sets the value of mobile homes. If you have sold a mobile home over the past year and you received a bill in the mail this year, you need to contact the Chattooga County Tax Assessors Office. The office is located in the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex, across the hall from the tax commissioner’s office.
