Deer/Vehicle Collisions are still occurring on a regular basis around Chattooga County with at least two more accidents recently being reported.
One of those accidents took place just after 7:00am – while the driver of a 2005 Nissan was on his way to work; the collision occurred on Underwood Drive when the deer ran in front of the vehicle, causing extensive damage to the front of the vehicle.
The second wreck took place around 10:30pm, at the intersection of Highway 114 and the Holland/Chattoogaville Road – when the driver was unable to avoid a deer that ran into the roadway.
The collision resulted in mostly minor damage to the front driver’s side bumper and wheel well of the 2011 Kia Soul.
Fortunately, neither driver was injured.
