AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported earlier this evening that an article of clothing was found on the banks of the Chattooga River that was suspected to be that of the inmates that escaped from Hays Prison on Monday.

Department of Corrections authorities believe that the escaped inmates are still in the area and urge residents to use caution.  These men are to be considered "extremely dangerous" according to a DOC spokesperson.

Over the course of the weekend, authorities have followed up on several leads from Chattooga County residents.  If you see anything suspicious or have any information, you are urged to contact authorities immediately.
