More have qualified for local races this week.  On Thursday morning, incumbent State Court Judge Jon Dennis qualified for another term.  That race is nonpartisan.  Also on Thursday, Lori Ann Brady qualified as a Republican for Seat 3 on the Chattooga County Board of Education.

Brady will have opposition from Steve Groves in the Republican Primary.  Incumbent BOE Member Lynn Hall qualified for the seat as a Democrat earlier this week.  Seat 3 represents Menlo.

Also this week, Tiffany Lawrence qualified as a Republican for Seat 2 – the seat currently held by Brad Hayes, who announced he would not seek reelection.

Bonnie Fletcher qualified for Seat 4 on the BOE to represent Lyerly.   That seat is currently held by Spencer Hogg who also announced that he would not run for election this year.

Qualifying ends on Friday at Noon.
