Before the COVID-19 pandemic you might have to wait for a parking place near Jim’s Family Restaurant on a Saturday morning. These days, the parking lot sits empty as the restaurant remains closed – despite restrictions for in-house dining being lifted by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
As WZQZ News reported yesterday, Jim’s has decided to delay reopening. Other restaurants in Chattooga County have said that they will continue to offer curbside and carryout service, but they still are comfortable opening up their dining facilities.
Los Maguey Mexican Restaurant in downtown Summerville, Sweet P’s at the Tavern in Trion, The Willow Tree, Thatchers, Jefferson’s and Henry’s BBQ have all said that they won’t be opening up their dining facilities at this time. The Crushed Tomato says that both their Summerville and LaFayette locations are open for carryout only.
