A Ringgold man contacted law enforcement in Chattooga County after he discovered a motorcycle that had been stolen from him was for sale in Summerville.

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office and Summerville police went to a Scoggins Street residence and found the motorcycle in question and after verifying the vehicle identification number, they contacted the complainant and told him that he could come pick up the motorcycle.

The motorcycle was turned over to police without incident.  The complainant was able to provide Chattooga County law enforcement officers with a written report from the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office confirming that the motorcycle for sale in Summerville was his.
