A thirty-year-old Cartersville man who died in a motorcycle wreck earlier this week in Rome had attended Trion City Schools.  The Georgia State Patrol has determined that there were three vehicles involved in that accident.

The Georgia State Patrol post in Rome says that a white Volkswagen SUV traveling east made a left turn from Turner McCall into the path of the Yamaha motorcycle driven by Mohammad Tahir . Multiple witnesses stated the driver of the motorcycle was driving recklessly and at an excessive speed.

The preliminary report showed Tahir’s motorcycle also struck a second SUV that was waiting to turn from Riverside onto Turner McCall following the initial collision. A 3-year-old in a car seat near the impact site was not injured, Hamilton adds.

No other injuries were reported but the collision temporarily shut down parts of Turner McCall and Riverside Parkway.
