A fatal motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles occurred on Taylor’s Ridge Sunday night, resulting in the death of the motorcycle operator. The Chattooga County Coroner’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol are investigating the incident.

At approximately 8:07 PM, Chattooga E-911 dispatched emergency services to the scene of the three-vehicle collision on Highway 27, located on the north side of Taylor’s Ridge. Coroner Jeremy McElhaney responded and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene.

One other individual sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

The identity of the deceased motorcyclist will not be released immediately, pending notification of their next of kin.

The Georgia State Patrol has taken the lead in investigating the circumstances and cause of the accident. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
