Mrs. Melinda Davette Floyd, age 58, of Trion, GA, died Friday, December 18, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Floyd was born November 10, 1962, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Gibson and Jewel Minnie Deering Mayard.  She was a member of Dry Valley Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed in the billing and coding department of Harbin Clinic. 
 
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her sister, Leta; and brothers, Glenn Maynard, Buster Maynard, and Austin Maynard.
Survivors include her husband, Marty Floyd; daughter, Brittany (Kisha) Slayton; step-son, Shannon (Jessica) Floyd; sisters, Nadine Espy, Debbie Cooper, Alice Ballinger, Brenda Hughes, and Sandra Corbin; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Mason Funeral Home.
 
Visitation will be held privately.
 
The Floyd family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home reminds anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
