The Atlanta Journal Constitution political journalist Jim Galloway is questioning the motives of an amendment to a senate bill that would allow elected officials to carry guns without a permit.  The amendment was offered by State Senator Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga).  Mullis’s amendment would let elected officials in Georgia carry a concealed weapon without going through the concealed weapons licensing procedure that currently applies to all Georgia residents.
