Municipal court will resume in both Summerville and Trion after being postponed due to COVID-19 in September.
Last month Judge Tracy Maddux, who serves as both Trion and Summerville’s municipal court judge, postponed court as the number of coronavirus cases had been on the rise.
Judge Maddux tells WZQZ News, that municipal court will resume this week in Summerville and next week in Trion.
Judge Maddux said that he will be limiting the number of people that are allowed in the courtroom.
Summerville’s municipal court will be held on Tuesday of this week (October 12) and Trion’s municipal court will be held next Monday (October 18).
